It’s arrived !!!
Le Toy Van has arrived and I couldn’t be happier. This is one of my favourite children’s toy brands and one that has such longevity. At Moody Merchant one of my aims was to only buy from great craftspeople, family businesses preferably and companies that have sustainable values not just in how they work but what they use to create their brands. As Le Toy Van is 100% non plastic and ethically sourced it won me over with just that one point.
I highlighted exactly what this wonderful family run business is all about and wanted to showcase this straight from the horses mouth.

Giving parents peace of mind and children the freedom to play
This for me is everything you would want. I am not a lover of huge piles of plastic toys and from when my boys were young we had our fair share like everyone but my most loved and most precious toys were wooden. I have kept all their wooden train sets, jigsaws and tool sets for my maybe one day grandchildren. The wooden items may be more pricey but they certainly last for generations and are so much better for the environment.
Le Toy Van is exceptional and for me the attention to detail and up to date designs yet keeping the classic styling is a huge tick in the right direction for children’s toys. Below I am going to showcase what I have bought for Mini Merchant and hope you fall in love with them as much as I have. How much fun would it be for adults to be able to actually play with children’s toys that make sense to us.
The Le Toy Van Pirate Ship
Who doesn’t love a pirate ship. I remember one Christmas my youngest son whenever you asked him what he wanted as a gift he said a Pirate Ship. All he asked for was a pirate ship. So this was a must for Mini Merchant. It brings back wonderful fun memories of our own pirate ship days.
Did Someone Call a Doctor!?
I often wonder why children love playing doctors and hospitals, as it’s not really their favourite place to visit. They love all the instruments and gadgets,plus it can help them grow a really natural and fun way of seeing doctors and hospitals.
I adore this doctor’s bag, and so it was something I again had to purchase for my Mini Merchants
London Toy Cars
I have found I have based so many of the items on what my sons loved when they were young, one being wooden cars, trains, anything they could carry around in each hand. They would come into the room with a car in one hand and a train in the other. The perfect way to ensure that you have something to play with wherever you are. Those cars drove all over the world (and furniture) with us. So I have bought just a small pack of wooden cars, perfect pandy sized so our Mini Merchants can carry them around also. All children will love these recognisable vehicles.
Not forgetting the food, another favourite in our house. Pretend shopping trips, buying fruits, pretending to be a sweet shop. Le Toy Van has completely blown me away with their innovative ideas for this area. They have the vegetables, the fruit as they are always a winner but as the modern day child spends a lot of time in coffee houses with their parents, Guess What, you can be your own barista. We have the Le Toy Van coffee machine coming later in the year but for now we have our own….. Coffee cups and smoothies. I guess they could write their names on the cups with post its to make it really authentic.
No stone is unturned, who needs something sweet with their coffee ( I certainly do), how about a family favourite biscuit. Look at those……
Keeping on the food theme, who could resist this super cute idea. They made me laugh when I saw them. I would have loved these as a child. How much fun will this be for our children to play with

And Lastly, you can’t have breakfast without a yoghurt. I just love the attention to detail, the modern take on a classic toy, in every flavour.
As you can probably guess I have had enormous fun buying from Le Toy Van and believe me I could have carried on ordering as they have so much more. I am more than happy to take requests for my buying and hope to get as much as you want to see. I love the brand so for me it’s pure enjoyment and brings back so many great memories. I believe wooden toys are the best type of toys for our Mini Merchants to help build great imaginations and strong creativity.
