Moody Merchant Welcomes Grace Ballinger - A Note From Grace

Hi, my name is Grace Ballinger and I am really proud to be sponsored by Moody Merchant. I am a professional cricketer based in Nottingham, and also a BBC Sport Columnist alongside this!

Playing professional cricket was a dream of mine since being a young girl – I spent countless evenings at my local cricket club playing, mainly with boys but in girls cricket too. When I was 18 that dream became reality – the rapid growth of women’s and girls cricket has led to the full professionalisation of the women’s domestic game.

I am currently in the middle of a jam-packed playing schedule, touring the country for away fixtures, and I will soon move to Manchester for a month to play in the franchise tournament ‘The Hundred’

Alongside playing cricket, I am a massive foodie, I love travelling, and equally enjoy making my living space a home. I  think I found my love for interior design through my mother – who has always had a keen eye for décor and creating beautiful living spaces.

When Moody Merchant reached out to me for a sponsorship opportunity, it made perfect sense. To be supported by a business that aligns with my taste and interests was an opportunity I could not turn down, and already, some of Moody Merchant’s pieces have elevated my home.

My favourite pieces at the moment are the IB Lauren Summer Glasses and matching Bottle. Crafted in Denmark, they have a lovely naturistic and floral design, creating a classy summer look. These pieces have already attracted the attention of visiting friends and teammates, who I have hosted on sunny evenings. The glasses have effortlessly accentuated my hosting.

I am really looking forward to continue working with Moody Merchant, and hopefully continuing to develop my own style of interior design with the assistance of Clare and Moody Merchant.
