On my table this month
Our gorgeous Bungalow tablecloths, are bought from Bungalow DK in Denmark directly I love how the most vivid colours are entwined, creating the masterpiece of a table. I love a white cloth but to have a coloured cloth brings so much more joy to my heart. I use this base of colours as the background to the Klimchi glassware I choose, I add in the crystal hand blown glassware pulling out one of the colours from the cloth and instantly you have a stunning looking table and you haven’t even added in the food, the friends and family. I design my tables using the fundamental ideas of an outfit I would wear. You have a few expensive pieces placed amongst some less expensive pieces making a great outfit without it all being overpriced.

For me it is not a science, or a skill that only I have it is just making the table up with the rules of a few expensive pieces dotted with a few reasonable pieces. You then add in candles, gifts, matching candle holders, ornaments depending on the time of year, flowers again seasonal and overall, you get a simple yet beautiful table. You can go as busy or as simple as you like there are no fixed rules. We have so many images of the tables using in the cloths from bungalow the glasses from Klimchi and lots of filler in pieces from Gisela Graham and IB Laursen.

Everyone can do great tables and I think its such a lovely feeling when your guests arrive and think Wow, it makes them feel special, thought about and loved. So even if you are not a great cook you can win them over with a great ambience.
